HR Actions & Workflows
An HR Action requires a workflow to function properly and is used to route the request. A Workflow is a series of steps that guide an item, such as an HR Action, through the organization’s process. An HCM Workflow can include the following steps:
- Start – Start is the beginning of the Workflow.
- Subsequent Steps – Steps are what you want to occur in the Workflow.
- Steps can include:
- Approve Automatically
- Approve/Reject
- Checklist
- Collect Note
- Notification
- Steps can include:
- Actions – Each step can have one or more Actions assigned to it.
- End – End is the end of the Workflow.
Steps within an HR Action’s Workflow may create an item for a Manager to review and/or act on and these typically land within the My To Do items list:
- Select to view the HR Action Request
- Select to view the Workflow attached to the HR Action Request
- Select to access Employee Quick Links
- Select to open the Employee’s Account
- Select to view the HR Action Audit Report
- Select to Approve the HR Action Request
- Select to Reject the HR Action Request
- The date/time the HR Action Request landed in the My To Do items list
Note: The options available to managers within the My To Do items list are defined within the Security Profile.
